Focus on ‘hashpitality’ helps earn Phoenix H3 Red Dress Run recognition among world’s top ten

JANUARY 15, 2014 (PHOENIX) – The Phoenix Hash House Harriers Red Dress Run was selected by as one of the world’s Top Ten Red Dress Runs of 2014. Among the qualifying factors for the Top Ten selection were support for charity, connecting the Red Dress Run to the Hash House Harriers’ brand, “hashpitality,” good organization and other qualities that make the event unique.

2014 Phoenix RDRThe Phoenix Hash House Harriers Red Dress Run will take place in Scottsdale on Saturday, April 12, 2014 and is sponsored by the Hash House Harriers, a group which qualifies as the largest – and certainly the most madcap – running club in the world.

The Phoenix Hash House Harriers (PH3) bills the event as “one of the largest and wildest Hash House Harriers parties in the United States.” Their Red Dress Run will be wrapped in three days of hashing, pool parties, dancing and ever-flowing beer and wine. A self-hosted, room-to-room party starts things off at the hotel on Friday night (book now, PH3 strongly urges, because it always sells out).

Contributions to the Red Dress Run charity are voluntary, and participants are strongly urged to consider making a donation through the registration process. The donation amount is up to each registrant. The registration process also allows the opportunity to purchase Red Dress Run swag.

Not only do Phoenix hashers welcome out-of-town hashers, they put their money where their mouth is by extending a reduced rate registration fee to visiting hashers. The hotel operates a free airport shuttle and Phoenix hashers say that they would be happy to offer rides to those who make arrangements through their Facebook page.

Other Red Dress Run venues selected for the Top Ten list include Ascension Island in the South Atlantic; Panama City, FL; Montreal; Brussels; New Orleans; Bisbee, AZ; Washington, DC; Las Vegas; and Brisbane, Australia.

  1. FYI, we reserve a separate section of the hotel (which is now totally booked) you can still reserve a room in other parts of the hotel but it will not be right in the middle of everything (not necessarily a bad idea as things go 24/7). Also, cum down and visit ANY time. We always treat our visitors like royalty (unless you’re a dick, then we duct tape you to a cactus).
